God! This loss kills me.
From our friend signedRW...
Really sad to hear this; we just had Alvin on the air a couple of weeks back, calling from his home in Spain. He was in fine health, was warm and friendly, and sounded great. I loved that he took it upon himself to address the not exactly politically correct lyrical content of "I'd Love To Change The World," and managed, without making any lame excuses, to pretty well explain what he meant at the time, and to clarify that his intent was never to offend or denigrate anyone with the song. A cool guy, and his latest CD, "Still On The Road To Freedom," is a very strong, and excellent final statement.

From reading, it sure was unexpected. I'm thankful for his great contributions to music. He rocks on somewhere else now. |

So another of my guitar heroes dies. Ten Years After were regulars on the UK university circuit in the 60s and I managed to see them on several occasions. Lee was probably one of my top three all time great guitarists. So sad. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=apzNkhqkF8U
