Strictly Discs will be the place to be this Post-Thanksgiving-Shopping-Melee-Day, also known as Black Friday.
And that's because certain indie stores across the country will be the place to get special releases created just for you, for giving and getting this holiday season, and they're scheduled for release on Black Friday, November 23, 2012.
Now, this is not Record Store Day, Jr., but it is brought to you by the powers-that-be at Record Store Day. This is a group of special releases you can only find at certain independent record stores nationwide. The magic of these pieces (many uber-limited) is that every one of them is something someone will really LOVE to get, and you'll really ENJOY giving. And you may have the added nice feeling of supporting a local, independently owned (Strictly Discs, Independently Owned since 1988) business during the holidays.

Wow, that's a really cool selection of stuff - better than the actual record store day releases from last may.
And you can pre-order?
That beats standing in line, stressing out about not getting that bowie or strummer record.

Anybody manage to snag a copy?
I was up in Pittburgh for the holiday and The Attic in Millvale said they had about 5 and would open @ 7am.
Got there around 6:30 and when the doors opened, a small melee of about 8 people ensued, but I think everyone left happy.
It's a heavy slab of vinyl, that's for sure and the 7" has "A House..." on the flip.
Also grabbed the Joe Strummer bootleg, Wanda Jackson 10" (thanks Sound Cat Records in Bloomfield), White Stripes "Hotel Yorba" 7" and "Death May Be Your Santa Clause" blues comp. on CD.
It was a good day (no stress, unlike RSD).
If you make it to Pittsburgh, it's a record paradise - also check out Jerry's (wow), Eide's, Mind Cure, and a few others all within a 10 mile radius.
