Just out - a weighty Mojo special edition priced £5.99. Entitled The Magical Mystery Tour and Beyond, it encompasses the bewildering revolution for which The Beatles were responsible between late '65 and late '67. There is a special focus on each of the four albums as well as essays on the impact of LSD, importance of the sitar, the influence of the avant garde, the transformation in recording technology, Candlestick Park and the death of Brian Epstein. Additionally, there is an absolute galaxy of photographs...many of them previously unseen. There is also an excellent foreward written by Paul Weller (of The Jam).
If you shell out for this, I promise you that you will not be disappointed. What appears here has never been seen in any previous biography that I have encountered. |
