My next trip to the record store,I need some Stones, some Ray Davies and the Kinks, and now that you've mentioned it,L.K.,also some Animals. Now obviously the greatest hits must be out of this world or they wouldn't have made the hall of fame so can you recommend any particular regular studio album?I'll also keep any eye out for War.(While the government is out there basically doing likewise.)

The Animals 1964, Best of the Animals, Animalism, Animalization...

Hard to fine an early Animals album that is not worth your time...can't!

Strangely enough, I've just taken delivery of this magnificent compilation:

The Animals are almost always overlooked when you hear about the truly great R&B based rockers. The band was just as much a staple of London's oft-storied Marquee lineup as the early incarnations of the Stones and the Who.Another near forgotten musical staff of this genre-the Denny Laine Moody Blues. Before the Moodies turned to psychedelic Gurus, they too were a very tight outfit quite capable of holding an audience. The proof is on "Magnificent Moodies" which features the wonderful ballad "Go Now",which Denny Laine would later perform with Paul McCfartney and Wings' sprawlingly successful 1975-76 world tour.
