according to Johnny, the original Love did "the Lloyd Thaxton show, Hullabaloo, Shindig, Where the Action Is, American Bandstand, and a few others whose names escape me"

| Hullabaloo? You mean that show that was on ABC from '64-'66. I don't think they were. I always thought it was Bandstand and Where the Action Is |

A forum friend here was in the audience & saw the Love appearance on Hullabaloo, if I'm not mistaken....

| I'll bet that the confusion here is due to the fact that there was the TV show "Hullabaloo," and also the Hollywood club, "The Hullabaloo," or "Dave Hull's (KRLA jock) Hullabaloo," later to become the Aquarius Theatre, in slightly more psychedelic times. A few of us were fortunate enough to see Love play the Hullabaloo (Club), which I'm pretty certain they did on more than one occasion, but I don't believe that they ever were on the network television show of the same name. No matter how much effort one puts into the search, it's going to be a little difficult to locate those TV clips that most likely never existed in the first place.... |
