He was a popular dj in NY during those famous "FM" years. He'd always played that "new" music we've all come to "love." And he was a tastemaker for the time like all dj's!

I grew up on WNEW-FM, and it's really sad that many of their best jocks (Scott Muni, Allison Steele, Rosko, and now Pete Fornatale) are gone. What's amazing is how many of them died younger than the supposedly decadent rock stars whose music they were playing... Maybe the rock stars got more exercise, performing on stages (and on groupies) every night.
Wasn't that a great station?? I wondered how the heck they stayed on the air with no advertising. The songs just kept going and they were good. Great to listen to the station at night. Those dj's knew how to mix the songs up. Another time, another place.
