During the mid 80s our nation was gripped by a superb dramatisation of Fay Weldon's Lifes and Loves of a She Devil....it told of one woman's sinister and frankly, brilliant revenge taken after her husband leaves her for a successful author. The atmospheric and chilling theme song Warm Love Grows Cold was performed by the Isle of Man's Christine Collister a truly amazing folk/jazz singer who still records and tours regularly. It was released as a BBC single back then, but has sadly been unavailable for a long time:

Christine covered a song by my friend Angelo Palladino a few years ago. The song is called "In the beginning" and it is on "An equal love".
I can't find any Christine albums anywhere....

Thank you LK and Dukie. I have recently purchased a download of Love Gone Cold from Amazon....it's on a fairly recent live album....but I do wish that I could get hold of the original version. Christine will next be touring the UK in May...small venues mainly....I'm hoping to catch her in Bury, Lancashire.
The original TV drama series Lifes and Loves of A She Devil is very well worth catching if you ever get the chance.....it unfortunately spawned a poor Hollywood remake with Meryl Streep...who I absolutely adore, normally.
LK - I've a feeling that Amazon UK have some of Christine's albums listed.
