I just discovered a very good Danish psych band called
FREED with Leif Iversen on the Orpheus label
Do you know them!!

Recorded in the summer of 1970 in Tommy Seebachs studio on Gammel Kongevej, Copenhagen, mixed in a hurry, but not released until 2003.
Cleaned and mastered at Toccatta demo studie and in Calzoneman studio.
Includes a stapled zine-style photocopied 20-page "scrapbook" with press cuttings, letters and other writing in Danish.

They were called FREE, but there was a rather popular band by that name already!

Mention of Tommy Seebach in LK's inital posting reminded me of one of my all-time favorite You Tube posts, Tommy Seebach's "Apache." It is a "must see," for which words do not or can not do justice. This one really should be posted here for all to appreciate; Tommy Seebach, "Apache" at You Tube. |
