I will post my pix from my recent trip to the MEP in Seattle...with the two story movie screen with a blasting sound systen to watch Jimi burn his guitar at the Monterey POP, the JBL theatre (also available for private viewings of whatever one wishes) to watch complete Hendrix concerts, or the WHO etc... and view his actual Woodstock guitar, and the guitar he burned and smashed at the Monterey Pop....lots of great pix....oh and the "My Diary" 45 rpm. Also many great guitars ...Dave Davies "You Really Got ME" guitar and Bo Diddley's iconic box guitar....many more....CHEERS!
The 700+ guitar sculpture....
my first pic....Here is the ENTRANCE to the Museum...with the Monorail running right through the center.
Definitely an EXPERIENCE....coming soon after I chill and organize my pix!!

Their Grunge wing should certainly pack a few thrills.I figure they could just have a sign hangin' over the entrance foyet that simple reads "Welcome to Nirvana".

Fortunately it is MUCH more than Nirvana....it was changed recently from the history and importance of the music from Washington and Seattle 1960'present, to just Nirvana...hopefully that is just temporary. I basically ran through the Nirvana room. barely glancing at the exhibit.
Wait until I get the permanent Hendrix collection up for you all!! There is also th e Sci-Fi museum as part of the whole admission...that is very cool. Right now they have the "AVATAR" exhibit which is very cool.

Back side of MEP museum
Looking up upon exiting the MPE museum....off to dinner atop the Space Needle...we stayed there until it closed at midnight.
One of my best lifetime experiences.
Oh and there is a music lab in the MEP where you can enter mini recording studios and play drums or organ or bass....$15 to make your own demo recording...or just jam for 10 minutes for free. Very cool!
Cheers to all!!
