Dionne Warwick's Hits - always gets an outing at least once a week....and especially when I'm in an upbeat mood. All those magnificent Bacharach / David songs. Along with Lennon - McCartney, surely the greatest songwriting partnership of the pop era.

"Highway Star"-Deep Purple. This hard driving(excuse the pun,but it DOES apply)ode to a band member's real life ride always enthralls in all of it's early heavy metal exuberance complete with resoundingly irresistable guitar phrases. And how about some pre-"Pet Sounds" Beach Boys in the mix with THEIR automative classic oldies such as "Little Douce Coupe" and "409"?And to give fair mention of the late great Clarence Clemons, the Boss' rendiiton of "Pink Cadillac", featuring Clemons' usually searingly mellifluous embellishments.Just plain cool.
