Seriously great bootleg....for your download and listening pleasure...
live tracks from On The Beach which you NEVER hear!

Neil Young -Citizen Cane Junior Blues
Live at The Bottom, NYC
05-16-1974
SBD

Somebody asked me (gratefulbreed) if I would post this particular show, so I started to dig into my collection and voila! And what a fine pick this is... To many audiophiles Citizen Cane Junior Blues is the holy grail of Neil Young bootlegs because there are quite a few songs from On The Beach. At the time most of the songs were basically unreleased.
According to some sources, the Bottom Line set was apparently an unannounced appearance at a Ry Cooder solo acoustic gig. Apparently Neil was so impressed with Ry's performance that night, he managed to play a set of his own after Ry Cooder as guest. The bootleg title comes from Neil's introduction to Pushed It Over The End.

Tracks

01 Pushed It Over The End
02 Long May You Run
03 Greensleeves
04 Ambulance Blues
05 Helpless
06 Revolution Blues
07 On The Beach
08 Roll Another Number
09 Motion Pictures
10 Pardon My Heart
11 Dance, Dance, Dance
12 For The Turnstiles
13 Flying On The Ground Is Wrong

1-11 Recorded live at The Bottom Line in New York on May 16, 1974
12 Recorded live during 1973, location unknown
13 Recorded live at the Carnegie Hall in New York on December 5, 1970.

I think theres video footage of Neil at the Bottom Line on the Archives dvd box

might be an easter egg you have to find on one of the discs. I forget offhand

My favorite egg is Neil showing a fan at Central Park how to play Cinnamon Girl. Its kind of cool cos Neil is in a hurry to go but does take the time to tune the guitar for him so he can play it (I think CG is in drop D?
