From CIRCUS MAXIMUS, 1967..Jerry Jeff's ol' psych band.

Anyone remember this great mellow psych tune...lay back and close your eyes....
great jazzy piano tune and mind bending words...psychedelia at it's best

More in this vein soon...ride the wind (...that is a teaser!)

listening to "Wind" now, on my Vanguard CD. THANX for reminding me how cool this album is. Sounds like crooning to me , here. in a good way. I first heard this on the internet music website, " Technicolor Web Of Sound", a few years ago, and rushed out to get it .
Vanguard , Country Joe's Label. the rest of the album is great! early Kinks -like, Yardbirds, Them......but truly Circus Maximus/Jerry Jeff Walker. recorded August, 1967 !!!!!
a pretty good year! what a great fu***** album!!!! yeah!!!
one ofe the great forgotten albums, right up there with bands, "The Rising Sons", "Raik's Progress", and " Kaleidoscope"(from the U.S.)!

...what the world needs now...

It should be pointed out that Jerry Jeff had almost nothing to do with that song; Bob Bruno, who wrote it, sings it, plays the piano and 12 string guitar solo on it, told JJW and the guys to just keep repeating the riff like robots, and Bruno did all the creative work on it.
He's in his 70s now and has a bunch of things on youtube (mostly jazz)like this:

Right, sorry to Bruno. Circus Maximus was Bruno... & Jerry and the
band, but all Bruno on the best track....the main reason to own this LP!
A really fine, lost gem! I love Jerry Jeff, but this isn't "Jerry"
yet...he came into his own...Mr. Bojangles!
