Guy's, could someone please explain what the act of blogging music means! I always thought it meant down-loading music, without paying for it, if I'm wrong could someone please enlighten me!

Do unto other's as you would have them do unto you!
This is not only a problem with music, but life in general! How would any of us like it if after going to work and doing your job, someone reached in your pocket, and just took the fruit's of your labor!

Right, being an artist myself, for some reason others feel that if they can get hold of it, it's free to the taker. Artist's rights are a hard concept to those who think that just because it is on the web, it is free. Was it Napster that found out what a "lawsuit" is?

You know what the Net giveth it also taketh away. I don't think I have to tell anybody here how rough it is to be artist these days. I just think artists need to protect themselves somehow.
Just noted an incident with Berry from that TAMI show. He refused to go and play until he got a cashiers check. Of course no doubt, he learned from experience. |

KD: Never fogot when old Chuck played New Zealand in the early 1970's. He demanded cash in a suitcase before each gig. After a sold out 1st show the promoter offered him the same for a just added, also sold out 2nd show.
Chuck received the payment in cash, and then high tailed it out the back door to the airport - not doing the 2nd show. Chuck never played NZ again after that.
Free the cash ! |

See? "Chuke" was not only a great rock'n'roller but he wanted to be a banker too! "Chuke Show Me the Money! Barry" was way ahead of his time.......
And I'm sure he saw what was going in with those guys who signed up the early doo-wop groups, bands and singers. Heck even today some of them today are still being ripped off in more ways than one. You all know the story. The music biz is nice but it has its rats. |
