November 19, 2009 will be the first JOHNNY ECHOLS' TURN gig at Spaceland in Silverlake, California. Also, THE QUARTER AFTER (featuring members of The Brian Jonestown Massacre) and artists TBA. Tickets $8 advance/ $10 door.
The set will feature some early Love material, songs from the lost "Gethsemene" album as well as some surprises.
JOHNNY ECHOLS' TURN are:
Johnny Echols - Vocals & Electric Guitar
David Chapple - Electric Bass, Harmonica & Vocals
David "Daddyo-O" Green - Drums & Percussion
Mike Randle - Vocals & Electric Guitar

Just got an email from Patrick Hand about it...very cool, Torb! Will anyone here have the opportunity to get to see Johnny -- out of the shadow of Arthur...on his own (With Lem)?!!

I just got back from a day away to also find the email from Patrick about this gig. Obviously there is no way I can make a gig in the USA but really hope this makes it to the UK. Obviously with Rusty now living over here he won't be able to play the US gig but hoping he can join in when (and I know it will be when) they get over here.

The grapevine has it that one of the surprises planned for the Spaceland gig is to reunite
one or two of the former members of the L.A.G'S and American four?
should be interesting if true!   |
