At this time of year I find myself listening to a large variety of music, much broader than I usually listen to. I have become particularly fond of symphonies, strings, horns etc. of holiday classics. I consider Tschaikowsky's Nutcracker to be powerful and awesome. Anyone else share this appreciation. Do you think the Love machine could do a good rendition of Silent Night, Jingle Bells,
or O Holy Night?

well strange you should say that, markk, because in jan 2003 at the stables in Milton Keynes (tiny stage and i was unbearably close)Arthur picked up his tambourine, ready for singing cowboy, I think, walked across the stage and started on 'jingle bells jingle bells, so that's where i got the idea for this song...'

well that's how i remember it anyway

the names of the song and the carol may have been changed, not to protect the innocent but because of my limited memory

NUTCRACKER is my favorite symphonic music piece ever! there is magic and melody, and lotta bells and chimes! elements which raise us up and rejoice! these sounds have healing power , and Arthur Lee, with his everready tambourine and marraccas, always seems to understand it!

Tina's link, as well as being seasonal etc, seemed to give me a new insight into the lyrics:

everybody knows a turkey

i read, and thought 'what?'
