Did anyone else experience a problem with Torbens site yesterday, thats monday ? I kept getting what looked like some kind of militant Turkish political propaganda thing with music for a couple of hours. The site then became unavailable for a while until returning. I'm persuming that as ever Torben was quickly on the case.
Couldn't get on to the site yesterday evening UK time - no Turkish propaganda in evidence however! Torben does seem to have it sorted out now I'm pleased to say.
The problem was my provider had a server that was not up to date with the latest security updates and therefore was hacked. The backup used for uploading to the site was 2 days old, so there might be some topics and some member registrations missing.
I e-mailed Torben in a panic on Monday. My obsessive-compulsive disorder for this MessageBoard was in jeopardy. What was I to do? Where else could I go? So I went back and cleaned my bathroom for the 16th time...ah-that's better!!
Maybee I should shut down the forum once a week, so everyone could clean the house. By the way I have problems with the chat room. I'm working on it, but looks like a problem I can't solve easily.
Got it sorted out - Chat is working. My service provider has changed a lot of things in the last days because of the hackers, so I had to make changes to the code. Hope I didn't forget anything.
I was unable to download this messageboard, yesterday. i had error notices, bla-bla this and that and don't really remember the notices details as i was intoxicated. i'm relieved to have LOVE BOARD back!!!
