I played Morrison Hotel a couple of days ago - for the first time in nearly ten years. I just wonder if The Doors ever managed a finer sequence of haunting melodies than Blue Sunday/Ship OfFools/Land Ho!/The Spy/Queen Of The Highway/Indian Summer. I am hoping to find the time soon to revisit the others....but this one must surely be one of the great albums from 1970.

Good pick there....have to agree on the "haunting melodies". I personally find the Doors' music so unique and timeless. Even though they're tied in with the 60's for me their music just transcends the era they made it in. They are a great band for all time.
strange days found me with my friends in the garage listening to it on a little record player getting high '67. so eerie! not like the 1st lp! more cinimatic! i can still feel that era.

...what the world needs now...
"When The Music's Over" was just mesmerizing --the whole LP...... staring at that brilliant cover and entered the world of Jim Morrison. What a musical mind trip!
