As some of you might know, Harvey Mandel is an excellent guitar player, possibly best known for his time w/Canned Heat (on the Woodstock soundtrack he plays the wild solo on Goin Up The Country). What's Love got to do with it? Well...I recently ordered Harvey's amazing 1968 psych album Cristo Redentor on CD, and lo and behold there are some bonus tracks...including Which Witch Is Which from Reel to Real! I had no idea Harvey played on that, and it happens to be my favorite track from Reel to Real - way cool :).
This is the only Reel to Real song I know of on CD...maybe Raven Records (the label) or Rhino Handmade can be persuaded to release it in its entirety...?
I really great to enjoy the R to R album in the last year. Mandel is a great guitar play who has play with many of rock's superstars.
