I'm watching a documentary about him. I am so very impressed at his integrity and still by the music - new and old, and his shining from within. He was always beautiful though.
more of the soundtrack of my life that still is part of me.
i've always liked his music. the "harold & maude" soundtrack has "wild world" on it, from 'tea for the tillerman' which i have on cd. great recording. he sure rose above all the paranoia and prejudice to finally get to play l.a. recently!
I remember when he was detained in Bangor, Maine when flying between US & UK because of his "new" name. We always get the international "Incidents" at Bangor since it is the eastern most international jetport in the US......a little jittery after 9/11 .....well they came through Maine after all, But really, we all thought it a sad joke on the US...holdng the great Cat in Bangor!! If we only could have gotten a concert out of him during his stay!
