..not sure if some of you know...
Sneaky Pete Kleinow, one of the finest steel guitarists and early co-founder of the Burritos died Saturday at Petaluma. He had Alzheimer's disease and was 72. Boy, he could play that steel!
Plans for a memorial service to be at Joshua Tree (I think Gram is buried there) later this month. |

R.I.P. Sneaky Pete . sad news.. he played with many line ups of The Flying Burritos and played on some great records..

Extremely sad news. Loved his work with Dillard and Clark too.
Didn't realise he was ill, but if it was Alzheimer's Disease, then I'm sure he's in a far more peaceful place right now. |

yeah...geeze, what a great pedal steel player! Sneaky Pete is one of my main gods of real music of magic. what a gift to music and a loss , too , but i guess he's got more important things to do now.
and is really well , now. peace, brother Pete. fly.

| Terribly sad news. I remember the first time I heard "Christine's Tune" on the first Burritos album. When that steel guitar broke into fuzztone after the first chorus, I said "now that is something new in the world!" |
