The TexasPsych Group has struck again!
Following a snail-mail "tree" of otherwise unavailable material, now being torrented is the following:

13th Floor Elevators - Attack Of The 8-Tracks I & II
These two volumes were derived from pristine 8-track tapes of the 4
Elevators' releases.
Ripped directly to digital and presented on two Cd's.
I contains Psychedelic Sounds & Live / II contains Easter Everywhere &
Bull Of The Woods.
The sound quality and mix of the 8-tracks is completely different from
the original vinyl mixes.
So, why go through the trouble you might ask; because we care.
A lot of work and effort goes into these projects from people across the
globe.

These sound so good compared to all other reissues of the 'vators, especially than those put out by "Collectables" (popularly refered to as "Contemptibles" in the group, due to their utter lack of concern for sound quality). As the story goes, 8-track cassettes were mainly designed for listening to in car stereos, and so the mix for them is more clear, up-front and punchy. The difference of the mix is especially noticeable on 'Bull of the Woods' and on 'Easter Everywhere.' You can really hear a whole lot more of what went down on the original master tapes.
These are essential for all big fans of the Elevators!
