Posted - 30/11/2005 : 00:13:48 Damnit - forgot the Pumpkins, though I would also have to include Siamese Dream alongside Gish. Also, I would agree the Teenage FC album is a beauty, especially if you like the Byrds. |

Somehow I thought those albums might be on your list.
However, inclusion of both the KS albums is more than justified (don't know the jeevas albums).
To this list, in no particular order, I would add amongst others:
The Coral - The Coral Shapeshifter - Gong Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots - Flaming Lips Bona Fide & Deuce - Psychedelic Breakfast Rift - Phish Breathe - Keller Williams & the String Cheese Incident Deep End Vol 1 - Gov't Mule From A to B - Octopus Moseley Shoals - Ocean Colour Scene You Have Been Watching - Mother Earth Harrison - Ruth (much better band than Aqualung IMHO) Balinese Dancer - Chuck Prophet
The list could go on and on with shall we say generally unlauded albums, but those which I would NOT include would be anything by Radiohead or Coldplay, both of whom are severely over-rated in my book; after their respective debut albums, they have failed dismally to create anything half as good. (now, where's my fire blanket??) |
