A very intelligent and measured man in this interview about the music & his approach to guitar playing, turnings, electrification etc--really interesting talking about Muddy Waters, Bloomfield...bottle neck, blues, and tunings. Contrary to past reports, a very quiet and courteous man--and what a talent! His mathematical approach to the guitar is quite fascinating. A man after Dylan's heart who always spoke of Robbie Robertson's mathematical approach to the guitar.

Alan "Blind Owl" Wilson - interview (over 2 hours)
AUDIO ONLY - from the 1960s rock band "Canned Heat." Includes over 600 photos of Alan, his bandmates, album covers, and other interesting artifacts. Blues legend John Lee Hooker called him "the greatest harmonica ever". Alan dishes info on how he formed the band with frontman Bob "The Bear" Hite; how he acquired his record collection; how the band determines their album song list; on Robert Johnson's "Terraplane Blues"; and plenty of chat about the blues in general (this guy knows a LOT about the blues). Alan is not the lead singer of the band but is the lead vocals behind the band's two most well-known hits, "Going Up the Country" and "On the Road Again." Alan joined the 27 Club just weeks before the passing of Hendrix and Joplin in 1970. (run time is over two hours) Fascinating listening.
