There was definitely something special about Newcastle Upon Tyne in 1972. That city's most famous sons, Lindisfarne, had released what turned out to be the biggest selling UK album of the year and.....it was produced by Bob Johnstone....who of course had already been responsible for albums by Dylan, Simon and Garfunkel and The Byrds. This is the gloriously life affirming single....Meet Me On The Corner:

Meet me on the corner when the lights are coming on
And I'll be there, I promise I'll be there
Down the empty streets we'll disappear until the dawn
If you have dreams enough to share

And here's the newly released 40th anniversary edition of the album:

john..great band!...I have their debut and it's great to see them rocking along the years. Lady Eleanor is another fine tune from them that I enjoy.
