Posted - 20/05/2011 : 15:22:59 These kids today have absolutely NO idea what their missing on Saturday mornings nowadays.Hell, all of daytime tv has gone south. No more network game shows save "The Price is Right" and "Let's Make a Deal" and even the once might soap opera is evaporating what with the cancellations of "All My Children" and "One Life to Live".Not that I was ever a big soap fan,but It always despairs me to see any previously hioghly regarded American entertainment institution fold. Now we just have alot of gooey celeb gossip and Dr. Oz creating panic attacks in everyone as they develop hypochondria watching go through the alphabet with all the diseases we could all potentially contract.God bless the old Bugs Bunny/Road runner Hour.I'd still be watching today in full gear with a soggy bowl of corn flakes in hand. |

Posted - 19/05/2011 : 22:18:59 The thing that really grabs me about the Tell Overture is that it was composed in 1829. Man I thought all they did back then was hunt for squirrel and possum. |

Posted - 19/05/2011 : 17:27:13 You know what brass oriented theme I've always enjoyed?"Hogan's Heroes".And of course while we're on the subject of classical style themes,we can't ignore the John Philip Sousa march used for the Monty Python openings.Sheer classic intro against the wonderfully amusing abstract/surreal Terry Gilliam animated murals! |
