"Fresh Air" was my introduction to the Quicksilver.I boought a volume called "Electric Sixties" mainly because it had "Born to Be Wild","Eight Miles High" and other standard greats.I had heard of the service previously and knew they were one of the more respected Bay area psych-era acts,and gave a listen.I was immediately struck by "Air"'s sensibility for sheer raw emotion.I don't know who the lead vocalist was on this one,but what a gut wrenching performance.Later,I discovered teh even groovier full version as issued on the original l.p.One of my all time faves. |
