you're welcome...and also, btw, I think I taped Arthur Lee and Love at the Civic Center (summer of love anniversary) in 2002...I don't recall it sounded very good and the tape is buried somewhere...gotta look for it, but if it's decent, I'll transfer the cassette to digital sometime

When ws this one issued?Hopefully it will be viewed on college campuses and in off beat movie houses like ones in Harvard Square Cambridge and Coolidge Corner,Brookline,Ma.From there, maybe and finally a musical movement of more cerebral intent could begin to flourish. This one should once and for all place Arthur Lee high in the ranks of geniuses who's works were certainly precipitous of the idioms of later generations. There,he can keep company with Lou Reed, who was in essence writing grunge long before anyone even fathomed to attach the term to the underground. The "Nico" album was the mentor."Nevermind" and subsequent works of White Stripes were the aspiring proteges.I occasionally hear tinges of the Lee influence
in other plaid-shirted reportoires.Musically, that is.What these young ones need is poets.Badly.

2008....sadly Arthur died before he could see the final cut.
The Arthur clips were mostly compiled from Arthur Lee interviews in 2005 & 2006.

Here is a nice write up.

And sadly it did not cause a groundswell of college youth and music lovers to proclaim LoVE the best group ever!!!

Seems like some powers that be,or at least were then, decided there was only enough room in Dodge for ONE kickass, primal soul delving diva for the times. I guess Ms. Lydia Pense lost the coin toss. And hey!Is this video on DVD?I got a record store close by in Salem,MA that form time to time has some of the more obscure pop video delights.Once there,I bought one called" "Groupies",all about a varitable gaggle of female rock admirers and their escapades following a few bands around I think Frisco and LA.Should be a worthwhile find for those of you out there who have a few fond memories of similar real life scenes!

Here it is...your record source should have or be able to get it! 2009 Rhino release.

And then there are the most important DVDs to own:

Woodstock
The Monterey Pop Festival
Dont Look Back (Pennebaker's look at Dylan - 1965)

and of course!!
LOVE STORY!!!
