Spencer Dryden! he joined 'Jefferson Airplane' as drummer in 1966 and played on some of their best albums! he was also at Woodstock with them! passed away on friday.. http://www.jeffersonairplane.com also R.I.P. Danny Sugarman who had a long connection with 'the doors' he co-wrote the Doors book 'no one here gets out alive' and ended up as manager of the Doors...he passed away last week http://www.thedoors.com

I particularly remember a song about a mining disaster called Dirty Business, with Jerry Garcia playing pedal steel guitar through a fuzz box and wha wha, awsome !! |
