I think you all have the right idea...it is diminished on the small screen I think...
and don't get me wrong, it was a good DOORS documentary, but nothing new...a few new clips from HWY. And the narrative is a bit dry....as
I said, LoVE Story has made many others pale...though the Nick Drake "A Skin Too Few" was perfect at 40 minutes and with no Nick, it somehow is still a GREAT doc.
It can be done. All things considered, you SHOULD se it for sure!!!
I would go to a big screen showing if I had the chance.

It seems to be getting a simultaneous cinema and DVD release over here....it'll definitely be the big screen for me!  |

Have you seen it, Ol'man? I was pretty disappointed, but of course we have
the best music documentary of all time to measure it by. Even then, it
was quite lacking in depth..more of a news/music documentary with little new or interesting to add to the story.
I was really pumped to see it, so maybe that set me up for a let down.
