Anyone know this alternative indie rock band? Tweedy has been around for a while...

WILCO..I just discovered them today thru a recommendation--nice. This is from their new CD- Wilco (the album). This is a nice one that starts out acoustically and develops rather nicely- -done in a Lennonesque acoustic styling... in the best sense of the comparison. At least I hear Lennon in the voice technique, with the signature echo/reverb.

... a nice discovery.

Yeah, they've been around for ages, I quite like them. Can't say though, as a non-Lennon fan, I've noticed the Lennon similarities....

On the chorus/bridge, "Oh I don't wanna know" especially...but if one doesn't care for Lennon, it would not be a comparison one would want to even attempt to hear.

Good, good! music though!

Well, I don't know about that, I've heard plenty of other artists trying to sound like Lennon over the years (some good, more bad) so I think I can trust my own ears

I love Wilco!
I have their previous cd, "Sky Blue Sky". i have noticed a Lennon likeness, too. The guitarist, Nels Cline is superb! This is one of the few current bands I like.
The other band I like is Apollo Sunshine.

...what the world needs now...
