OK, is it just me, or does anyone else think this supposed 1997 Iggy "remix" is actually a re-recording? I have listened to the original (Bowie mix) on vinyl enough times to hear several major differences that would be hard to do otherwise. Cold endings instead of fadeouts, slightly different vocal or guitar parts, etc. If you want specifics, I'll have to get my new turntable hooked up so I can hear the vinyl again. I guess if he had access to all the original tapes, there could be alternate tracks mixed in, but I doubt he would have been that obsessive about it. Any thoughts?
