I received an e-mail from Morgana Welch (Hollywood Diaries-hollywooddiaries.com )about the upcoming release of Laurel Canyon-The Book by Michael Walker. Having lived there for 6 months in 1970, I'm looking forward to reading this

LAUREL CANYON: THE INSIDE STORY OF ROCK AND ROLL'S LEGENDARY NEIGHBORHOOD, which will be published May 2 by Farrar Straus & Giroux.

Finally, coming in April, LAURELCANYONTHEBOOK.COM, an interactive Web site with photos, extended interviews, tour updates, and a blog about life in the canyon.?

jellybean...

I haven't read the two Hoskyn's books about Laurel Canyon. I remember the over-all vibe of Laurel Canyon. It's kinda hard to explain...I knew I was in LA, but being there it felt like I was in a totally different environment other than a large metro. I felt that everyone that I met who lived there KNEW they were living in a magical place.

I e-mailed with Michael about this new book. The author had been in touch with Michael, and Michael shared his thoughts and feelings with him. Michael is looking forward to reading this book...
