Posted - 14/07/2005 : 19:38:19 Greetings fellow fans,
I've been a fan since I was a child. I'm hoping to see Arthur perform with Baby Lemonade. They have done such an amazing job over the years! I'd give anything to see them with Johnny Echols!
I just saw 4 new tour dates posted: Ohio, NY & 2 in MA, Is there a chance they might come to FL???
I'd travel to see them. It is one of my dreams.
I've been a musician for over 30 years. I often play Arthur's songs. I have all of my career.
The live CD & DVD are fantastic!
I got to see The Zombies last year with Ambrosia (I am the webmaster for Ambrosia's site). I saw where Love & The Zombies performed together in CA. What a show that must have been!
To see Arthur perform would be a dream come true.
Thanks Torben for all of your fantastic contributions to keeping Arthur & Love alive on the internet. You've done a fantastic job.
Thanks,

Posted - 15/07/2005 : 13:33:58 Aweb, I agree, Tampa is not the kind of place where you expect to find a lot of Love fans!
I just moved here recently - what are some good local/regional bands worth checking out? |

Posted - 15/07/2005 : 02:46:37 Greetings ruxprncd, I am in Tampa, indeed. Great to hear from another Tampa fan! I'd really like to see the band with Arthur, as he is one of my major influences The live CD & DVD blew me away, but I want to see Love in person.
Of course, I would go to see Johnny Echols perform with the brilliant Mike Randle & company. I hope that Arthur is well. I pray that he knows how much he means to everyone & I hope he will be fine. Any other scenario could be tragic.
Wow! I didn't know anyone there were any other fans in Tampa, save the people I've turned on. That is obviously an ignorant statement, but I'm sure you know what I mean.
Whenever I have performed any Love material, people react very favorably to it, but they don't know anything about Arthur Lee and Love.
Thanks for your input. I pray everything goes well for Arthur & Love.
peace,

Posted - 15/07/2005 : 01:25:26 aweb, where are you in FL? i'm in Tampa.
previous rumors had it that the tour might get as close as Atlanta, but as others have posted it's all up in the air right now. Arthur seems to be in bad shape...falling prey to his demons...
however - I agree wholeheartedly that the band even w/o Arthur is well worth seeing. have seen this lineup numerous times since '96 and they are fantastic.
WITH Arthur, when he is in good form, it's like being strapped to a rocket ship - absolutely riveting - so let's hope and pray that happens. |

Posted - 14/07/2005 : 20:09:56 Greetings,
I haven't read hardly any posts. This is the first time I've written to this Forum and seen it!
I read something about Arthur backing out of the UK tour, due to an injury?
I'd really give anything to see Love with Arthur & I'll keep hoping to fulfill my dream.
I ceratainly would go see the band with Johnny Echols! That would be fabulous. From the posts I've read, I'd definitely go!
I was fortunate enough to see Bryan Maclean perform with his band (his sister sang lead, mostly) back in the early 1980's.
Thanks,
pat

I guess you havn't read much of the rest of the postings on this board recently? There is very little chance that you will be seeing Arthur performing with Love (not Baby Lemonade, that was the members of Love's previous band) in the near future. The dates you have seen posted are all yet to be 100% confirmed, so don't book anything yet (just keep checking Torben's site) but when anything is the cahnces are it will be 'The Love Band with Johnny Echols' you will be seeing, not Arthur Lee. However, those of us who have seen the gigs in the UK in the last few weeks will testify that this is an expereince not to be missed...the band are hot and will give yiou a night to remember |
