Posted - 07/04/2005 : 06:22:49 My fifth Love gig in about fourteen months - and I wasn't disappointed.
Good solid stuff.
Setlist: 1 Alone Again Or 2 A House is Not a Motel 3 Old Man 4 My Little Red Book 5 Signed DC 6 The Daily Planet 7 Bummer in the Summer 8 You Set the Scene 9 My Flash On You 10 Everybody's Gotta Live/Instant Karma 11 Live and Let Live 12 The Red Telephone 13 Can't Explain 14 She Comes in Colors 15 Between Clark and Hilldale 16 Singing Cowboy 17 Rainbow in the Storm 18 Seven and Seven Is
The set was a good length, too, as some of the songs were extended by various solos and other enhancements.
Johnny and Mike entered the stratosphere during 'House/Motel' and Johnny's guitar was emitting fantastic licks between Arthur's lyrics in 'Signed DC'. Arthur was in fine form, including dealing with humorous comments from the audience, and Daddy-O put in a blistering rock-solid performance as always. Rusty's playing held everything together and Dave Nolte is fitting in well.
Highlight of the evening for me - (apart from seeing Arthur again), Johnny Echols.
Oh yes - and all the songs!
Wonderful - long may it continue!
Said 'Hi' to Rusty, Mike and Johnny after the show and caught up with some fans I'd met last year.

Posted - 07/04/2005 : 19:15:23 Hi there. Nice to meet you too, Ben - our friends were Chrissie and David Housden of "The Castle" magazine fame. I've got some great pics of Johnny's behind head guitar playing and will send them to Torben when I've got time to download them. |

Yes he did :)
But he didn't need to - he can PLAY hehehehee
Ben -
I guess missing cues is one of the things that happen when real people play real music..
Well - I liked it anyway :) |

Posted - 07/04/2005 : 11:17:56 Another great evening. Nice to meet Tina and Lizzy and their two friends whose names I forget. I think the boys could do with a couple of days off. Arthur missed his cue to get off after Singing Cowboy, carried on for two more numbers and consequently had nothing left to play for an encore! |
