Posted - 27/11/2005 : 19:21:45 How about this lineup?
Arthur Lee Johnny Echols.......guitar (kick ass solo on mind belong together) Alban "Snoopy" Pfisterer.....drums, keyboards Michael Stuart, drums Tjay Cantrelli........woodwinds Jay Donnellan...2nd guitar (kick ass solo on August) Frank Fayad, bass
Just think, some double drums, keyboards and winds to spice things up...double guitar attack and Arthur......The guys who actually made the music...........Wow!!!!

Posted - 12/12/2005 : 05:54:42 I like that "homme fatale" label. I, too, think they'd be a stellar union. I can see Marianne and Arthur singing heavy versions of As Tears Go By and She Comes in Colors and Five String Serendade together...

Posted - 11/12/2005 : 21:58:48 This popped into my head the other day. For some reason, I'd like to see Arthur Lee and Maryann Faithfull do something together. It's kinda weird but I think their lives are parallel. Sort of a femme fatale and homme fatale.

Posted - 08/12/2005 : 07:35:07 Amen, GoodHumourMan. Unfortunately I think your questions will get as much response as calling out to planet Pluto. (What if he actually logged on tomorrow after his umm..morning jog, and dutifully answered every single question the board had for him? What would those odds be?Wouldn't that seriously blow your mind?)

Posted - 07/12/2005 : 15:15:40 Arthur, are you out there? Do you hear us? We want to hear The Red Telephone and A House is Not a Motel on stage. What is the problem Arthur? What is stopping you?

Posted - 07/12/2005 : 02:50:41 Johnny has flat-out denied any donut store robberies or incarceration. You can see his response in some posts here. Could be that's the truth, although I don't see what difference it makes now. He seems to be on his feet today with his drug days a distant memory. Anyway, those people who were there at the time know the real truthwhatever that might be. Maybe we'll find out in the documentary.
And the mystique of LOVE continues

Posted - 01/12/2005 : 16:05:52 If memory serves me correctly I read about Tjay passing away awhile back in a post by Kevin Delaney (sp?) somewhere. Of course, I also read where Johnny E was in prison for awhile for stealing from donut shops, in liner notes from "comes in colours". |

Posted - 29/11/2005 : 05:01:53 Speaking of fantasy lineups, did anyone on the board get to see Shuggie Otis when he briefly played guitar on tour with Arthur in the early nineties? I know it was brief, and I've heard Shuggie gives Arthur a run for his money in the "erratic" and "eccentric" and "reclusive" categories.

I thought he was on the jazz circuit with another name

Posted - 28/11/2005 : 17:12:00 But Jay Donnellen is alive and well and living somewhere in S. America on his boat as we speak.

Posted - 28/11/2005 : 16:30:49 Nice thoughts but it would be kinda hard to get Tjay to play since he is not longer with us and from what I read about Snoopy almost equally as hard to get him to play. |
