Came across this today and doing a search on the forum does not seem to have been posted before. It's a three hour show on WFMU with guest Mike Fornatale.

One of the items is how Arthur Lee did not do soundchecks so Mike did them a couple of times and has a recording of him singing Old Man at a soundcheck at NYC Town Hall June 03 backed by the band and the Stockholm Strings and Horns.

Click listen to this show at the top, opens in Real Player, advance the player 1.56:30, not the 2.03:30 they mistakenly have put.

Thanks for this link Mikeb. Beautifully sung, with such emotion, brought tears to the eyes!

Torben and Mikeb...agree. Yes it is!! How can I still get rushes after all these years. WOW!! I wish I could see them again right now.

Thank You

Allan

P.S.-On this link from above http://www.xnet2.com/sknoof/html/20031212arthur.html, there's quite a bit about Philly. Yes-I used to see American Dream often back in the day. One of the best cuts on the LP is "Can't get to heaven on the Frankford El". You really need to live in Philly to understand that. The LOVE sign in Love Park is for real
