Hi,

I am considering ordering the second Bryan MacLean CD after being impressed with ifyoubelievein and was wondering what peoples opinions are on it. Is it any good, or was the best material used for ifyoubelievein?

I was just thinking, how great would it be if some Arthur Lee demos from '66 onwards were discovered (wishful thinking). I remember reading in Michael Stuart's book about Arthur playing the songs he (and Bryan) had decided on for Da Capo to the band for the first time on an acoustic guitar in his house. It would be amazing to hear those songs in such a raw state.

There are some nice sound clips of ifyoubeleivein on Bryan's site. Certainly convinced me this is an album I should have, in fact should have bought ages ago. I thought it was out of print, but there are a lot of new copies for sale on Ebay, presumably it's been repressed.

I'd like to add that b sides both CD's being beyond essential

Candy's Waltz has an excellent extended wonderful inner view with bm
So you get to hear his voice
as well as his musical voice

I'm hearing rumblings of some future releases as well.
The World is a far more melodic place with bm's music in it

Why Don't We Sing This Song Altogether?

I think Candy's Waltz is beautiful, an outstanding collection of Bryan's material. When I purchased the CD back in 2002, I was also concerned that perhaps Bryan's best solo works were used for ifyoubelievein. That wasn't the case, Candy's Waltz IMHO is great.
