Posted - 22/07/2005 : 18:53:44 I’m surprised that there has not been more outrage on this board over these quotes in Mike’s latest diary. Here are 2 of the quotes:
"All that's left are pathetic messages on my (and the other guys) answering machine, ranging from 'I'm gonna kill this and that person' to out-an-out back door deals that involve him and us playing in some imaginary club he's going to open here in LA with Robert Plant" AND: "Hey. Want to know a victim? How about a woman who has a 4 month old baby, home alone while her husband is out playing music in Europe for nothing but pride and the wonderful people called LOVE fans And having a 61 year old man call the house and threatening to send 'Crips' to her house to have her killed? Even though I KNOW this is bull**** and a con, how does she know? "
Arthur sounding like a ghetto thug. For everybody who wants to cut Arthur slack, read this a couple of times. Hopefully the excuses for Arthur will stop.
I'm sadden by this turn of events, but the truth is the truth.

You and me both. And I hope it was a GUITAR, and not just a guitar CASE.
Guitars, dog food, and the last few copies of LOVE on Earth Must Be.

Surely, waxburn, you aren't suggesting 'Astrolobe' is a friend of Arthur's are you?
Yes, no, I've never had any contact with the arthurly one, not even any live performances. My sleeping dog comment was meant to be an improbable mixture of hope as well as caution, in light of recent information given here on this board. But thanks to MikeP's pivotal research, I now feel much safer . Anyway, old dawgs never die, they just-- er, somethingorother.. Jon

Posted - 31/07/2005 : 00:06:33 Fortunately for those concerned, after scouring the 'net it seems that there are no such things as dentures for the toothless dog. Kick a sleeping one and you might be in line for a really good gumming though! |

Yep, and I might add another canine cliche: Don't kick a sleeping dog, it might bite.

Hmm, astrolobe, that's an interesting analogy..and, bearing in mind what has been happening lately, some could read that as a kind of a threat? |

Posted - 29/07/2005 : 20:52:51 I sympathize with everybody who has been bullied by Arthur. I do not understand why everybody is so surprised. Arthur has always been a F--- up and quite strange at times, going all the way back to the 60's. He has always been unpredictable.

I guess this leaves me as the lone holdout.
