Dennis Dunaway, the bass player for the original Alice Cooper band has written a new book about his time with AC, called "Snakes! Guillotines! Electric Chairs!"
In one party they had in LA in 1967, AL shows up.He describes AL thusly:
"While Arthur's band, Love, had done some deeply eclectic and interesting albums, he wasn't very happy."

They went downstairs to have a seance, which AL didn't want to take part in. "Outside the circle stood the skeptics. Arthur Lee flashed a sarcastic peace sign to David Crosby, but Jim Morrison was deep into the ceremony."
