If I'm not mistaken, they actually played Your Mind and We Belong Together at wednesday's SF show, with Rusty mostly singing lead. First time I've heard it live...too bad we didn't have prime Arthur. Has anyone ever seen them do Always See Your Face, one of the most profoundly underrated songs of all-time? (At least it was on the High Fidelity soundtrack..)
Michael Young
Yes, I am sure they did it last Summer in the UK....I seem to recall hearing it at the Gloucester gig and maybe another? |

Heh heh...funny you should mention ol' Stagger. Just read a funky biography called Stagolee Shot Billy by Cecil Brown. Recommended.

I read that book a few years back...good isn't it? And 'Stagger Lee', in all its many versions, is a bloody good song, despite the obvious 'joke' suggestion here |

And then there's cover versions...how about Johnny B. Goode?
If I was in a black humoured mood I'd suggest Stagger Lee, but, since I'm not, I won't.
Stagger Lee, now that's funny |

Posted - 26/06/2005 : 11:23:13 Hey guys, both August and Robert Montgomery have been performed by Love in the UK in the last couple of years - my memory is a bit hazy but August has been done fairly recently, although its while since I've heard Robert Montgomery. |
