Posted - 14/09/2014 : 06:52:00 If Forever Changes went gold in late 1967-early 1968 and charted in a decent spot on the Billboard 200(e.g. in the top 100) do you think the band would've still be motivated to continue on. I mean I compare this situation to Bruce Springsteen recording Born To Run. I believe Bruce Springsteen first two albums sold poorly and he was near getting cut from Columbia and he had to put a lot of effort in Born to Run. So it was like his breakout album to mainstream popularity.
