Posted - 02/06/2005 : 21:22:30 I really enjoy the LOVE line-up with Donnellan, Fayad, and Suranovich. Those guys were definitely some "heavy cats" musically, and they formed a powerful framework for Arthur Lee's songs. I was just thinking about 'em and I got to wondering if anyone here knows anything about what any of them did before or since their association with LOVE. Also, did many of you see this incarnation? Apparently they got around a bit more than the previous group. it's with me wherever I go, Jon |

Posted - 22/06/2005 : 12:11:23 That seems a little uncaring 'Jimmyboy'...I can imagine that the woman really wants to find her father and it does no harm to have the sentence up there, you never know when someone new, with some information, may log onto this site. |

Posted - 04/06/2005 : 16:00:48 I really like the band from the Four Sail era as well.
George Suranovich died (around 8-10 years ago?) - I remember reading a great article or two about him in The Castle (Love fanzine). I have the magazine somewhere and could scan & email you the articles if you'd like - let me know.
Jay Donnellan is very much alive and has a recent album out - http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/donnellan. The site also talks about his history since Love. I've been trying to find (preferably on CD) the albums from his band Morning, but no luck so far. |

Posted - 03/06/2005 : 03:23:16 i saw that 4 sail band at the Whiskey a go go late '69 or early '70. they were HOTTT! and someone else can update us about the statis of members, not all still with us, me thinks. that 1st album is my favorite of that incarnation. " "August", still performed by LOVE, is my favorite from that era. |
