I was wondering how the band would've been if they their act together and didn't break up in '68. I would assume they would've tour the rest of '68 and might've used the horns and strings from the FC sessions. |

In a fantasy world they would have done nation-wide and international touring using a string and horn section, giving FC a full treatment.
However, even if they had had their act together using all the extra musicians would have been too unwieldy and expensive to pull off.
Abraxas I think that where a big concert opportunity was missed was the shortness of the Da Capo 7 piece membership. That would have been workable and maybe affordable to keep, and I contemplate how fantastic it would have been to hear, for example, the middle section of Stephanie Knows Who or Orange Skies in concert. The soloing by Johnny and Tjay are objects of beauty on the album and Michael's jazzy drumming was often overlooked. In concert? The sky would have been the limit.
