Posted - 15/09/2011 : 15:01:36 John Sterling toured with Love on the 1974 (ask Harvey) and the 1975 UK tours (when I met him backstage at Birmingham Town Hall).Of course, he also played with Love at The Whiskey in 1978. |

Posted - 15/09/2011 : 14:58:02 Thanks for the info and the pic Mike. John looks same but Arthur looks different somehow, younger, maybe he was clean then as opposed to when I worked for them in 74 when he definitely was not. |

Thanks for the link. So what was the lineup on this, Arthur, Joe & Bob R, was Melvyn Whittington on this or John Sterling, did John just come in for the UK tour in 74?
Information on the official site is that Melvan Whittington was on guitar for Black Beauty.
John then joined the band for the Reel to Reel album and live work.
Came across this photo of John and Arthur in Portobello Road 1975 when googling around: http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lpmticHnRr1qdanvuo1_500.jpg
