Sounds like Experience Hendrix and Eddie Kramer must be now in possession of the full multitracks from this session at Olympic Studios, London March 1970

damn fine song by the way. Jimi's first appearance on vinyl, apparently
Yeaah!
Should sell very well. Jimi's "new" releases of late have tended to do well commercially. Don't know how many people actually listen to Valleys of Neptune, but the interest in undoubtedly there |

is it the box set that also is gonna have "My diary"?
curious how they're gonna credit that one? Arthur Lee/Rosa Lee Brooks/Jimi?
KD: Hey Joe. Yes, ,the whole 1st CD of the box set will have alot of Jimi's pre-Experience tracks - with the Isley Brothers, Don Covey, Little Richard, King Curtis and others. My Diary and Do the Utee are also on it with Rosalie Brooks. The promo says (My Diary: Written by Arthur Lee)

any vocals by Jimi on that particular version, or is it a jam?
KD: Haven't heard it yet. Its just listed in the press release /song list as a "previously unheard, alternate take".
Due out in Nov. Very impressive song list - most of it appears to be (45% anyway) unheard / unciruclated.
Due by mid Nov. |
