Posted - 23/01/2010 : 13:01:01 Just started playing this masterpiece again.
What a Album it is, my Grandson (who is into all things rap and hip hop bless him) has asked who that Singer is, he sounds good.
Have lent him the record with a bit of luck a new convert is on his way.
He asked the question - what is the best thing Arthur recorded?
Thats a tough one.

Posted - 07/02/2010 : 13:24:36 Hi Bluecap, I've just spotted your previous post of 23rd Jan, I've been out of the country so haven't been looking at the board very often lately. The birthday party for Arthur is definitely happening, in York, on Sunday March 7th. There's a separate thread about it but I've put a link to the Facebook event page below which gives all the details.
http://www.facebook.com/event.php?invites&eid=285801690589
I've been speaking to my co-organisers over the last few days and the event is really shaping up. If you look through the list of confirmed attendees, you'll see that we have a special guest coming along.
Please send me an email via the board if you want to come along and would like more info - that goes for anyone else reading this for that matter! |

Posted - 31/01/2010 : 21:08:04 good old Self!
not really sure which issue of Mojo. Have it as a clipping of a page from the Buried Treasure section near the end
amusing quote by Arthur saying Jimi told him about Scotty screwing around with his woman |

What MOJO was that?
I also heard Vindicator was the name of Self's father. |

apparently Arthur named the album after his dog (!)
And I thought his name was called Self |

Posted - 23/01/2010 : 20:03:40 There is nothing `new` about me my friend. Have been a devotee of Arthur and Love since the start, have all the music. Was lucky enough to see Arthur before he left us. Forever Changes was the turning point in my music education. I am thinking of going to the Love thing being organised by Tina if they can work out where it is to be held. Been a member of this Board for years, but have only just started posting again. Would be wonderful to meet and talk to other like minded music Love people.

Posted - 23/01/2010 : 14:47:57 Well, once you have him Forever Changes would be logical! "Bummer In The Summer" out raps any rapper to my mind!
Are you new bluecap? Welcome.
