A surprising cover by Electric Prunes on their "official" THIRD album of the original lineup....the 2002 new release of ARTIFACT....hard to find but an amazing return to form by this great band. Touring UK soon?!!!
I changed this to any Love covers you love.....

Posted - 06/03/2009 : 03:36:55 Funny enough...but my favorite Love cover is also 7&7 Is by the Prunes. I love how it's a slow-burn simmering kinda style - as opposed to the frenetic original. To me, that's what the best covers do - reinterpet an original in a new way. |

Posted - 04/03/2009 : 14:18:42 You know I'm waiting for "Bang on a Can" to do a Love cover or covers or the Hollywood Strings (are they still around?) doing "You Set the Scene" or "Alone Again Or".........And I always thank Burt B for his little song...MLRB....certainly started something new!.... |

Posted - 27/02/2009 : 22:54:00 I was never keen on the Billy Bragg or Alice Cooper attempts. The only others I've heard are the Ramones [on 'Acid Eaters'] and a great live version by (ex Albertos y Lost Trios Paranoias member] Love fan C.P. Lee and his band the Mothmen at Manchester Polytechnic c 1979 |
