Anyone heard the original recording of Mushroom clouds (by the Grass Roots?) with the original lyric that Holzman asked Arthur to change?
I think it was recorded by Hopkins? |

Echols mentions the original lyric to MC in the Elektra booklet (for the first Love album)
Have never heard it - its never even surfaced as far as I know
The Grass Roots version of You I'll Be Following is pretty wretched
or maybe thats just the backing vocals! |

That's interesting, I hadn't heard of that. Does it definitely exist? Have you heard it?
I've heard the Grass Roots version of "You I'll Be Following". It was a 7 in released by Norton Records in 2006, with "Stay Away" by Arthur Lee & the American Four. |
