While browsing through an antiques-collectors' newspaper recently, I spotted a classified ad for a 1981 book by one L.W. Potts, entitled "Arthur Lee, a Virtuous Revolutionary" -- "Wow!" I thought, "Almost exactly . . . !" However, in reading more of the fine print, I discovered that the book's not about OUR Arthur Lee, but rather an identically-named Virginia patriot of the Revolutionary War era. Guess that's another example of those forever changes forever at work, with the latter-day Arthur Lee shining on as such a virtuous revolutionary in his own right, in the context of pop music.
