Posted - 05/08/2008 : 06:28:08 Meant to do this on the day but I was away. Two years since Arthur's passing. I was at work and got the news via a text from Caryne, and then texted Lizzy B who was on her way to Edinburgh. Love to Diane and all who loved him.
And no matter where I go, I will always see your face.

Posted - 07/08/2008 : 20:07:16 It's never easy to lose our great artists that touch us so. Arthur was very hard, though not entirely unexpected. Bryan's passing was particularly hard for me, having just purchased "andifyoubelivein" a few months earlier. When someone around our age (speaking of rocker, leerob & others that I know are of my generation), it's particularly hard & sobering....mortality hits close sometimes (having recently lost my Mother, sister, & Father-in-Law)....one leans on the music that touches the deepest. Arthur & Bryan...RIP.
trouble comin' everyday.......

Posted - 05/08/2008 : 17:59:04 I had only known about Love's music for a year. Their influence on my own writing accelerated and I had just finished mixing down a song that was so inspired by Forever Changes, that I'd labelled the disc "Forever Arthur".
I'll never forget that day because I was so proud of the composition. It was also the same day I had gotten internet access. One of the first things I 'googled' was Arthur Lee Love and the news was a day old... I had known about the hospitalization but was still shocked.
Rest in peace, Arthur

RIP Arthur, your fans are missing you.
This is the time and this is the time and it is time, time, time, time, time, time, time.....
